Fue ordenado sacerdote en 1926 y m\u00e1s tarde nombrado obispo de Nic\u00f3polis. Como obispo, trabaj\u00f3 incansablemente por fortalecer la Iglesia en la Bulgaria bajo control comunista, promoviendo la fe, la educaci\u00f3n y la unidad entre los cat\u00f3licos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pesar de la creciente persecuci\u00f3n por parte del r\u00e9gimen comunista, se neg\u00f3 a abandonar a su pueblo o a comprometer su fe. En 1952 fue arrestado, falsamente acusado de conspiraci\u00f3n y ejecutado tras un juicio secreto.
