She spent years visiting prisoners in Michigan, but she wasn&#8217;t just a visitor\u2014she was a bridge. Because their families were undocumented and couldn&#8217;t risk being caught, she became their only connection to the outside world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She was like Veronica on the Way of the Cross. When everyone else saw a &#8220;criminal,&#8221; Veronica saw a soul in pain and reached out to wipe His face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sister Ana did the same, carrying whispers of love from loved ones and tiny gifts back and forth like sacred treasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-columns stk-block-columns stk-block stk-19a9e27 stk-block-background\" data-block-id=\"19a9e27\"><style>.stk-19a9e27 {background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-6, #f9f1e0) !important;padding-top:54px !important;padding-right:54px !important;padding-bottom:54px !important;padding-left:54px !important;}.stk-19a9e27:before{background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-6, #f9f1e0) !important;}<\/style><div class=\"stk-row stk-inner-blocks stk-block-content stk-content-align stk-19a9e27-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-column stk-block-column stk-column stk-block stk-57bf9b6\" data-v=\"4\" data-block-id=\"57bf9b6\"><div class=\"stk-column-wrapper stk-block-column__content stk-container stk-57bf9b6-container stk--no-background stk--no-padding\"><div class=\"stk-block-content stk-inner-blocks stk-57bf9b6-inner-blocks\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus had whispered to all of us, &#8220;I was in prison, and you came to visit me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s take a quiet breath today and ask our hearts: \u201cHow can I best serve the &#8216;least&#8217; among us? Where is the Holy Spirit leading my unique spirit to help? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s start by looking at who\u2019s right in front of us, right now.
