(#3) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo reconocemos a los adoloridos y a los crucificados entre nosotros hoy? <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para ayudar a identificar el sufrimiento y los crucificados de hoy, necesitamos buscar a los marginados, silenciados y oprimidos que soportan las pesadas cargas de sistemas quebrados. Las siguientes categor\u00edas pueden ser \u00fatiles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Busca en los m\u00e1rgenes&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enfocar en los olvidados<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notemos a las personas que viven en la pobreza extrema, sin hogar o desatendidos. Notemos tambi\u00e9n las especies biol\u00f3gicas que hemos olvidado o descuidado. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfD\u00f3nde hemos quitado la mirada de la destrucci\u00f3n de la creaci\u00f3n, el corte ilimitado de \u00e1rboles, la contaminaci\u00f3n de las aguas, la silenciosa extinci\u00f3n de especies biol\u00f3gicas?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Observar a los vulnerables<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ver c\u00f3mo los ancianos, enfermos y discapacitados luchan porque les falta atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica o servicios sociales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Observar la vulnerabilidad de la naturaleza: la muerte de los glaciares; los ecosistemas fr\u00e1giles da\u00f1ados por la extracci\u00f3n de recursos y los animales, insectos y plantas que dependen de ellos; el secado de r\u00edos y lagos y aquellos que necesitan su agua para vivir; la destrucci\u00f3n de los bosques y de los ecosistemas dentro de ellos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Observar a los marginados<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Encuentra a los que la sociedad rechaza por motivos de raza, clase o origen. Observen tambi\u00e9n los ambientes donde viven, las industrias contaminantes, las aguas contaminadas, los vertederos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Listen to the Silenced&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hear their stories<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pay attention to people who cannot speak loudly or safely for themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pay attention also to the trees, the rivers, the birds, the pollinators, the depleted soil, to the communion of subjects that is God\u2019s creation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What stories are they sharing?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Notice overlooked suffering<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look beyond familiar routines to hear cries for justice, peace, and basic needs. Look beyond the human. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What and who else in creation is suffering?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Value truth<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Believe people when they share their daily hardships and fears. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is the truth about our attitudes and assumptions toward the other than human creations of God?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Examine Unfair Systems&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Spot exploitation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">See where powerful groups take advantage of weaker workers or communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where are we exploiting nature, taking more than we need, seeing only resources to be extracted rather than sacred creations which oblige respectful and caring relationship?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Look at violence<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recognize the damage caused by wars, cruelty, neighborhood crime, extraction, pollution, apathy and greed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hear creation\u2019s groaning. Recognize the violence of ecological destruction, extinction and human exploitation. The cross calls us not merely to look but to repent and participate in healing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Check the impact<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask who pays the highest price for unfair systems.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reflect with Empathy&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Feel the Pain<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Really hear the cries of the poor and of Earth. Allow yourself to feel sadness for the pain of others and in the face of the destruction of God\u2019s creation instead of turning away.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Examine your life<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check if your own lifestyle choices, purchasing habits, or other actions add to the burdens of others or to the systems that cause the crucifixion of people and creation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Take action<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look for ways to bring comfort, hope, and relief to those carrying crosses today.
