Luke wrote a two-volume work \u2013 the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles.&nbsp; New Testament scholar, William Barclay, calls the gospel of St. Luke the \u2018loveliest book in the world\u2019.&nbsp; In Luke\u2019s gospel, all barriers are broken down \u2013 Jesus is for saint and sinner, Jew and Gentile; it is a universal gospel, written for everyone \u2013 Samaritan, poor, women, outcasts.&nbsp; For Luke, the infinite sweep of God\u2019s love is for everyone.&nbsp; Now that is Good News!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:clamp(16.834px, 1.052rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.716), 26px);\">In today\u2019s passage from the gospel of Luke, Jesus appoints the seventy-two and sends them out in pairs to every town and place.\u00a0 Don\u2019t take a lot of baggage with you, just be present.\u00a0 Listen, notice, and bring <em>Peace to the household.\u00a0 <\/em>Are we seen as peacemakers?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus sends each of us out, equipped and accompanied to build the kingdom.&nbsp; His kingdom.&nbsp; We each have a particular piece to bring, a particular perspective to offer and a particular way of calling forth the gifts that are needed to bring about the <em>Peace of Christ<\/em>.&nbsp; Sometimes we can \u2018overthink\u2019 our mission, we can \u2018cling\u2019 to ideals that are too overreaching, the call of Jesus is to be present wherever we find ourselves, notice the \u2018Crucified of today\u2019 and be the face and voice of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How has God called you?&nbsp;
