{"id":2202,"date":"2024-05-25T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-05-26T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wiga5ubklx.wpdns.site\/2024\/05\/25\/daily-scripture-may-26-2024\/"},"modified":"2024-05-25T20:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-26T01:00:00","slug":"daily-scripture-may-26-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/passionist.org\/es\/2024\/05\/25\/daily-scripture-may-26-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Daily Scripture, May 26, 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scripture:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/readings\/052624.cfm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/readings\/052624.cfm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Deuteronomy 4:32-34, 39-40<br>Romans 8:14-17<br>Matthew 28:16-20<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reflexi\u00f3n:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What was the first Religious thing you were taught?\u00a0 For me, it was the Sign of the Cross:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/passionist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/May-26.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33832\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn the name of the Father,<br>and of the Son,<br>and of the Holy Spirit.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is such a powerful statement of faith, blessing ourselves with Holy Water and signing our entire body in the name of the God of all things.&nbsp; It took me years, but I came to understand when I make the Sign of the Cross, I\u2019m submitting each action, deed, thought \u2013 every single action of mine \u2013 to God, and doing them in His name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every single action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each time I thank a server for bringing me a straw, it\u2019s in God\u2019s name.<br>Each time I make someone laugh, it\u2019s because the Joy of the Risen Christ lives in my heart.<br>Each melody or text I compose, it\u2019s the Holy Spirit screaming in my ear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And each time I snub that homeless vet on the freeway offramp \u2013<br>each time I look at someone and judge them harshly, ignorantly \u2013<br>each time say something hurtful or untrue, no matter the reason<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No matter what I do, good or bad, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit is there.&nbsp; It\u2019s pretty easy to recognize the work of God in the good deeds and love we feel.&nbsp; But for me it\u2019s an enormous challenge to live through tragedy and find the Holy Spirit at work.&nbsp; It\u2019s nearly impossible to sift through human hurt and betrayal and disease and death, and try to grasp that God\u2019s there with a master-plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But it\u2019s true.&nbsp; Perhaps death is God\u2019s way of saving us from the future.&nbsp; Perhaps a personal tragedy becomes the fertilizer through which miracles grow and are revealed.&nbsp; It <em>is<\/em> true\u2026 like it or not\u2026 the Holy Spirit of the Living God and Christ the Son is in you, and me, and <em>every<\/em>thing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Realizing all this makes me wish people were nicer to me\u2026 and I hate to admit that it also makes me see my own and often-occurring failure to treat others with the love and kindness gifted me by our Triune God.&nbsp; And <em>that<\/em> sure makes me want to act like a better person; like the good and beloved child of the Trinity that I was born to be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Dear God, thank you for the gift of your most precious presence.&nbsp;Grant us the grace to see you at work \u2013 Father, Son, and Spirit \u2013 every-where and every-moment.
