Not silently, but boldly and steadily.&nbsp;&nbsp; He knew where he was, having completed what he needed to do there.&nbsp; His mission lay in another place, and it called for movement, action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I can imagine Jesus saying, I\u2019m going and began preparing as word of his travels swept up the road ahead of Him.&nbsp; Traveling can be hard and stressful, as we know, but how about averaging 15 or so miles a day by walking and carrying your belongings?&nbsp; In the towns around, His disciples were working to make His travels more reasonable, spreading the news, asking for a reception and some lodging. &nbsp;Many would have heard about Jesus and would have wanted to see and hear Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maybe Jesus would be able to stop and spend some time with us.\u00a0 The townspeople also knew the commitment versus reward.\u00a0 Set up, serving, cleaning up, arranging sleeping spaces and the list goes on.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"610\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/passionist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Driving-a-car.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3280 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/passionist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Driving-a-car.jpg 610w, https:\/\/passionist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Driving-a-car-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Worse yet, Jesus wouldn\u2019t really have time with them because he was traveling on.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of the town\u2019s decision to \u201cpass\u201d this time, those planning were angry and asked for vengeance, citing that Jesus was not welcomed. They were rebuked by Him and reset on the Mission and Journey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have there been times that God has wanted to enter my life and I just couldn\u2019t be bothered?&nbsp; Do I spend enough time seeking the Lord?&nbsp; Am I willing to put my pettiness aside, and concentrate on others and leave the me, ego and obstructions at the door.&nbsp; When I pour everything into something and the results are less than what I (we) hoped for, do we want to call down vengeance or criticize people who weren\u2019t present?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Am I resolutely determined to move in a prayerful, peaceful journey toward mission?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am I willing to put my pettiness aside, and concentrate on others and leave the me, ego and
