Offered a way to save his life through deception, he refuses, choosing instead to die rather than betray God\u2019s law. His courage flows not from pride, but from integrity \u2014 the deep conviction that faithfulness to God is worth more than life itself. His example becomes a lasting witness for generations who would face their own trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The story of Zacchaeus Luke\u2019s Gospel presents another kind of courage \u2014 the humility to change. A wealthy tax collector despised by his community, Zacchaeus climbs a tree simply to see Jesus. When Jesus calls him down and enters his home, Zacchaeus\u2019 heart is transformed. He promises to repay what he has stolen and to give generously to the poor.
