Today we celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation because March 25 was Palm Sunday, and we had to wait until after the Octave of Easter to celebrate. There are three things I think are important to remember:
In our first reading (Isaiah 7:10-14, 8:10), the king Ahaz will not put his trust in God. In our Gospel reading (Luke 1:26-38), Mary does, and says "Yes."
As it says in our second reading (Hebrews 10:4-10), we have all "been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." We have all received what Mary has received: grace and love and blessings.
