A Beacon of Hope to Light Our Lenten Journey
Have you ever thought of Lent as a second chance? Each year we have a distinctive period of six weeks to take a loving look at our lives to see if our values, priorities and behaviors are in line with God’s plan and desire for us.
To help us during this Lent, we are pleased to announce that, like last year, we will offer daily video reflections on our website. Our spiritual guides for this year are Fr. Jack Conley, CP, who has served as pastor, campus minister, vocations director and preacher of retreats for parishes, clergy and religious, and Fr. Richard Burke, CP, local superior of Saint Ann's Passionist Monastery and Basilica in Scrantion, PA, and Director of the Passionist Lay Associates.
Let us break the habits and routines that have made us wander from God’s path. Lent is that time of grace and spiritual growth, a ‘do-over’ to love God and our neighbors with our whole heart. May we celebrate Easter with new habits and routines that carry on. Lent 2019 is an ideal way to be a beacon of hope to others.
