Today we celebrate the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

Therefore, as beloved children of God, let us begin working for world peace today as we strive to forgive ourselves and each other one step at a time!

In today’s gospel Jesus turns his attention to fruit trees.  He tells his disciples that every tree is known by its fruit.

A wounded healer may be defined as a person who turns his or her own painful wound into a deep capacity to help and heal others. 

God knows my heart and its contents. I can’t hide anything, even the deepest dark recesses that I deny or don’t want anyone to see.

The words of the “beatitudes” are familiar words, they are not new. They are the Good News, the gospel.

Today the Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin.

God, thank you for those around me who think differently, but still love me and are willing to work with me on life’s puzzles (issues) you give us to solve today.

Our job, as prophets, is to plead, protest, and stand firm against evil. And then to love the evil doer.
