The story of the Annunciation illustrates for us the attitude of heart we need to be fully prepared. 

"Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Do not be afraid to be holy." God’s truth is our comfort and strength.

Maybe the message for me (us) is to remember we all have an angel and a dream. 

Today’s scriptures remind us that to prepare for the coming of Christ we must look for Jesus where perhaps we least expect to find him.

Come, Lord Jesus. Fill every corner of our world with your self-emptying love. Amen.

How fitting that these days we await the coming of the Lord, a coming that is pure and simple, not veiled with power and authority, but in the unexpected and amazing birth of a little child.

Yes, they bloomed, reminding us that new hopes for the future are not merely dreams, but reasonable expectations within the architecture of God’s divine plan!

The people in Jesus’ time were perplexed with the figures of John the Baptist and Jesus. How often we are too! What is Jesus waiting for?

Dearest Mother Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe, inspire us to say “yes” to God’s holy will as you and so many others have done over the centuries. Give us the determination to hope in the promise of salvation.
