Jesus tells us to not despise or look down on any "little ones", which refers to children, as well as all other vulnerable persons.

We see this lived out beautifully in St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, whose feast we celebrate today. Though her life was hidden within the walls of a cloister, she understood the radical call of discipleship.

Am I willing to put my pettiness aside, and concentrate on others and leave the me, ego and obstructions at the door.

Most of all it pricks our conscience and makes us more aware of the times we have self-righteously passed by the Lazarus’ at our doorstep?!

Sometimes it is more challenging to ‘pay attention’ to how God works in our life when the message is one that challenges us or calls us to do something we don’t necessarily want to do. 

There is but one voice that Jesus listens to, often in quiet solitude. That true voice speaks to him, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

These days, God continues to send prophets into our midst. Today, I will be intentional about what is important in my life. Priority.

Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.

“Mi madre y mis hermanos son aquellos que escuchan la Palabra de Dios y la cumplen”.
