Let us lift our eyes from those pages and thank our heavenly father for another day to absorb his presence in the natural world that surrounds us.

Perhaps this week we can all pray for a good interior housecleaning, calling on the help of Jesus, the saints and angels, all those living and dead whom we love, and even a good therapist!

God knows my needs far better that I do.  Isn’t the true power of persistent and daily prayer the transformation of my own will to make it more compatible with God’s will? 

Just as Christ died in forgiveness of our sins, so too, are we to forgive others. 

God, thank you for the gifts of family, education, the Marthas and Marys in my life but especially for the prayer families you have provided for me. 

But God did work as God always does: He touched deep inside a Samaritan’s heart to do the work of God, to provide healing.

Habakkuk is a prophet who lived 2500 years ago...Was he writing about his time, or was he speaking about today’s reality? 

Ignoring God in favour of our own perspectives or inflated sense of self-reliance is like closing a door and hiding from the relationship. 

Jesus tells us to not despise or look down on any "little ones", which refers to children, as well as all other vulnerable persons.
