Jesus reminds that when salt becomes insipid it is useless. Perhaps he is telling us that faith without works is meaningless. 

Shortly, we can start remembering the beauty of Mother Nature in Springtime--Lent.

Something is radically changing. The lid on the church’s powerful social teachings, rooted in the commands of Jesus, is being blown off.

The disciples in preaching repentance are asking people to change the way they are thinking

May God bless us, day by day – ourselves, our families and friends, and all in need of healing and encouragement!

Today, we – from our resources of talent, time and capacity can carry him across – not across oceans necessarily – but across cultures, traditions, generations so that his message and healing presence might be known by many. 

In today’s Gospel, we hear that Simeon, an old man who is described as righteous and devout, was moved by the Holy Spirit to come into the temple courts when Jesus was there.

When grace is refracted through lives that do not seek credit, the colors belong unmistakably to God.

Creating a clean heart within us will take the courage to acknowledge our wrongdoing and the courage to turn to the only one who can forgive us, our loving God.

Take time to reflect on the greatness of God, the sacrifice of the Son and the presence of the Spirit.
