As we continue our Lenten journey maybe we should all feel a bit overwhelmed at what God is calling us to do. 

The righteousness Jesus demands is not human perfection. It is a heart surrendered to grace.

Instead, Jesus promises that if we ask for anything, we will receive “good things”. In other words, we will receive what we need, not necessarily what we want.

This chosen people will be a light to all people. God’s Word is never fruitless. It bears fruit; it fulfills its purpose.

In the Gospel we are presented with the beautiful prayer, the Our Father.  This prayer was given to us by Jesus Himself and many of us pray these beautiful words daily, if not even more often. 

“Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.”

At the heart of our faith is not human failure, but a love stronger than sin, revealed on the Cross.

Today is the fourth day of Lent. Do you and I  have a spiritual growth plan for Lent? We can show up this Lent and be a witness. How? 

The fast God wants doesn't shrink your waistline; it shrinks the distance between you and the person you've been crossing the street to avoid.

During this Lenten season, when we reflect on the changes that need to happen within us, I invite you to look at these signs more closely.
