Lord, send your Spirit more fully to love and live for you now and prepare for our eternal life to come. 

Our life does not consist of the things we have, but the love God has for us. And even that we cannot keep to ourselves, but is meant for us to share.

Prayer is not only asking God to do such and such a thing for us or for others, but being open to do what God is calling us to do.

For Luke, the infinite sweep of God’s love is for everyone. 

All creatures, even the smallest and seemingly most negligible, are prized by God; all things, even chattering sparrows, are loved through and through.

The tension ever present in our lives between our external observance and our inner life needs to be kept in balance and harmony.

...we make our way into the Kingdom of God when our lives are characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Don’t we recognize His role in every molecule of the universe, and express our gratitude to Him through prayer and service to others?

We are called to open our eyes, ears and hearts to the words of the Gospel. Catholic social teaching calls us to be prophets and see the signs of the times.
