Praying Without Distraction

Lord, help me find you in prayer without obstacle.  I want my focus to be wholly on you.  Help to dispel any thoughts I have that hardship in prayer is somehow pleasing to you.  I know that you don’t ask me to create artificial discomfort or suffering in order to pray successfully.  Instead, let me remove all physical and mental distractions and come to you in meditative peace.
