Prayer to St. Paul of the Cross

St. Paul of the Cross, our father and brother,
as we stand with you before the Cross of Christ,
open our minds, hearts and lives to the boundless love revealed to us there.

Teach us to listen for God’s voice,
to release what keeps us from loving freely
and to follow Jesus with courage and trust.

May the memory of his Passion remain alive in us,
shaping our words, our choices and our care for others.

Help us stay close to those who suffer,
so that through our presence they may know
the faithful love of Christ, our lasting hope.

Amen.
