Kairos Event
You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present kairos time?
Luke 12:56
So many people at the time of Jesus did not realize that they were facing the long-expected messiah! Even greater than Moses at the flaming bush, they were face to face with the living God with a human face!
So many were even an arm’s length from the presence of the living God and failed to touch him and be healed! On Mount Sinai, where God approached in thunder and lightning, the people were not allowed even to touch the mountain where God approached. If they did, they would die!
The encounter with Jesus is the greatest moment in history! This is called in the New Testament Greek, Kairos, or the most wonderful moment in human history. Every time we experience Jesus, by grace, it is a kairos moment.
The kairos moment contains the love of the Father’s love for the Son and the Son’s love for us! One of the most amazing words in the New Testament are these:
“Just as the Father has loved Me, I have loved you; live in my love!”
When we encounter Christ, the love in the depths of the Trinity is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. That is an amazing kairos event!
So many then and now fail to approach Jesus and throw their arms around His feet and worship Him as the women did at the Resurrection! They did not want him to leave them. Our encounter with Christ is our moment, our Kairos, and eternity is in it!
