Lessons in the School of the Passion

Lord, I know that all earthly suffering is temporary. But when I face such difficulties, I always run to you for help—I ask you to take the pain away quickly. Please forgive me for this weakness. Help me to accept suffering with dignity and understanding. Even if I cannot see the greater purpose, please help me to trust in your divine wisdom that all the trials of my life’s journey have a part in your plan. Fill me with your love so that even in a time of great turmoil, I can find peace.
