Trusting God in Desolation

Lord, I feel like I am going through a difficult period of doubt.  I feel your absence instead of your presence, I dwell on your judgment instead of your love, I look to myself for answers instead of my Father.  Forgive me for this.  Help me to find you in my prayer life.  Give me the courage and the fortitude to come to you with full abandonment of my ego.  Give me patience in our conversations that I might trust that you are there even when I canʼt hear you.  Guide me in my spiritual journey.  See me through the dark and lead me to the light of day where I can live in the knowledge that you are always present in my life.
