Preparing the Heart for Grace

Dear Lord, I donʼt seem to always know or understand what you want for me. I think that I often let my pride get in the way of hearing your voice. Forgive me for this. When I look ahead at my life and make important decisions, I make the mistake of trying to do these things alone. Yet, in my independence, there is no freedom or happiness, only anxiety and fear. I want to accept my own nothingness and the peace that brings. Let me be filled with your love. Calm and quiet my soul, dear Lord. Heal me, comfort me, restore me.
