Keeping Christmas Alive

Dear Lord, now that Christmas Day has passed, let me continue to keep you foremost in my thoughts. Each year at this time I promise to keep the joy of Christmas alive in my heart and each year it seems the promise fades. Let me be mindful not only of the infant Jesus but of the sacrifice that you made for my salvation. And though I may not fully understand the depth of your love for me, open my heart to a deeper realization of what it means to be a child of God.
