Our Passionist Family, vowed and lay, commits to helping each other develop our individual personality and talents. We seek to nurture the seeds that have been planted in us to live more deeply into keeping alive the memory of the Passion.
That is why we are hosting a “Come and See” Holy Week vocation discernment retreat. The retreat is open to single, Catholic men ages 18-40 and will be held April 16-20 in Houston.
Our community is planning a peaceful and prayerful opportunity to celebrate the heart of our Passionist life and ministry with time for prayer, reflection, sharing, questions and celebration as we explore our Passionist vocation as priests and religious brothers.
If you may be discerning a call to religious life, this is great opportunity to learn what it means to be a Passionist!
This retreat is for single, Catholic men from the United States between the ages of 18-40 discerning a call to the Church. If you don’t fall into this category but are still interested in the Passionists and our mission, you are still welcome to fill out the interest form and we’ll find other ways for you to join us in our mission!
Part of the purpose of this retreat is to help you discern that! But if you’re unsure about attending, a few questions you might ask yourself include:
- Does a balanced life of contemplative prayer and missionary outreach appeal to you?
- Does the love of Christ through his Passion call to you in a special way?
- Are you ready to be faithful to your own spiritual journey and to your prayer life?
If the answer is yes to these, then you should join us!
The Passionists will cover the expense of your lodging and meals. We just ask that you make your travel arrangements to get to the event. If you would like to attend but the cost of travel is a hardship for you, grants are available. Fill out the interest form and let us know you’d like to apply for a grant when you register.
