Inspired by Pope Francis’ Encyclical, Laudato Si’, and the Laudato Si’ initiatives in Holy Cross Province, the Province Offices in Park Ridge, Illinois, took a significant step toward sustainability. Leadership prioritized renewable energy as part of their commitment to environmental stewardship.
In December, the roof was replaced in preparation for the installation of solar panels. This critical first step paved the way for a more sustainable future, aligning with the Province’s broader efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and embrace clean energy solutions.
Thanks to an unexpected stretch of mild weather in late February, the solar panels were successfully installed.
This milestone marks a tangible expression of the Province’s dedication to ecological responsibility and energy efficiency.
The Province Offices will not only reduce their reliance on conventional energy sources but also serve as a model of environmental consciousness for the community.
A special thank you goes to Mission Energy and 93Energy, our contractors, for their professionalism and excellent work.
