Reflection
I feel the two readings today play off of each other. In the first, war is waged, David took Bathsheba, and the wills of unrighteous intent brought about terrible consequences. Are the intentions of our actions pure of heart?
In the second reading, we hear of the wonders of nature that we may not understand. We are told quite plainly we might only understand as the crowds through stories and parables.
Wonders of nature are before us year after year. A miracle of the world and universe. Through contemplation and living the Passionist Way, we strengthen our apostleship and can deepen our understanding. Take time to reflect on the greatness of God, the sacrifice of the Son and the presence of the Spirit.
His Love is sustaining.
