On this Lenten Friday, we pray

From Noon to 3:00 pm. Those sacred hours that Jesus hung upon the cross.  Today on this Lenten Friday, we pray.

Matthew 6:6
NABRE

God of quiet presence, in this season of Lent draw us into the inner room of the heart where truth is spoken and love is refined. When prayer feels empty or stripped of comfort, teach us to remain with you in trust rather than retreat into control or distraction.

As we walk the Lenten path with Christ, shape our listening so that we seek your will above our own and rely more deeply on your grace. Make our prayer wide enough to carry the hopes, wounds, and questions of the people we live and serve alongside.

Through this holy season, transform our waiting into faithfulness and our silence into hope for the life of the world.

“With regard to prayer, when you find yourself in desolation and interior stripping… remain in a pure and simple loving attention to the Supreme Good… not caring whether you feel anything or rejoice.”

Saint Paul of the Cross | Letter 117 to Sister Maria Cherubina Bresciani  10 October 1736
