Paul of the Cross emphasized patience, mutual forbearance, and charity as the daily form of the Cross in community life.
When community demands you bear one another in love, you will bear the Cross of Jesus. Therefore community life is the great test of charity.
God of humble love, in this season of Lent shape us into a people willing to serve as Christ has served us.
Teach us patience when community stretches us and charity when relationships ask more than we expect to give.
When daily life becomes the place of friction and fatigue, help us recognize the Cross of Jesus quietly present among us.
Form our shared life so that bearing one another in love becomes our truest witness.
By your grace, transform our communities into places where service heals, fidelity endures, and hope is renewed.
