For more than 30 years, Christopher Jungers has helped faith-based organizations strengthen their missions through relationship-centered fundraising. As the recently retired Director of Donor Relations – East Coast for Holy Cross Province, he has also mentored countless Catholic and Christian fundraising professionals, demonstrating that philanthropy is far more than raising money. It is a ministry rooted in faith, trust and shared purpose.
That lifelong commitment was recently recognized when Christopher received the Christian Development Council’s 2026 Distinguished Service Award, which honors someone who has demonstrated decades of faithful service, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to mentoring others while advancing the ministry of philanthropy with integrity and purpose.
Fundraising as a Ministry
For 20 years, Christopher has served Holy Cross Province, leading major gifts, donor cultivation and stewardship with exceptional care. He understands that donors were more than supporters. They are our partners in the Passionist mission, helping proclaim Christ’s love through ministries that serve those who suffer.

Even in retirement, Christopher continues to mentor the Province’s donor relations team, sharing his knowledge and encouraging the next generation of fundraising leaders. His commitment reflects a lifetime of service to both the Passionists and the broader Christian fundraising community.
