Ordained in 1973, Fr. Pat Brennan, CP’s life and ministry have brought him alongside countless people seeking faith, comfort and connection.
As a formator and retreat director at Mater Dolorosa and St. Paul of the Cross Passionist retreat centers, Fr. Pat has helped people deepen their relationship with God and discern their path. His care has also taken practical form: helping build homes and assisting people in the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina.
Through it all, he has offered a compassionate presence to people in moments of joy, struggle and everyday life.
A recent birthday celebration offered a beautiful glimpse of those lasting connections. Fr. Pat himself marveled at how many couples were there whose weddings he had celebrated—a reminder of the many lives woven into his own.
We give thanks for Fr. Pat’s generous heart, faithful service and the love he has shared through the years.
