Persevering Through Dryness in Prayer

Lord, I am not very good at prayer. I get distracted and lose my focus so easily.  I find myself often asking you for favors instead of offering thanks, looking for guidance or just simply listening for your voice.  I ask that you never mistake my lack of eloquent words for lack of love for you.  Help me to remember that I can spend time with you in silence and that you will have patience for me.
