Detachment from Consolations

Lord, I am constantly working to find comfort and consolation in the world. I am impatient and often foolish in what I think will bring me peace. I always come up empty. Let me remember that the only true, interior peace comes from union with you. Help me to find you in moments of silence and stillness in my day. Let me abandon myself to you and leave all my burdens to you with full surrender.
