This Sunday, we celebrate Father’s Day.
As springtime moves us into summer in our part of the world, we see signs of life and growth all around us: in nature, in graduations, in weddings and in priestly ordinations and religious professions. High on my list of life is the gift of our fathers and mothers, those through whom God has shared with us the gift of life.
Father’s Day is a day which encourages us to thank God for the gift of life shared with us, whether by our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers or guardians, their dedication and love have cared for us, taught us and imparted to us the gift of faith.
Praying for fathers
One faith-inspired way to honor our fathers and father-figures is by remembering them in our special Father’s Day Novena of Masses. I invite you to provide the names of your loved ones for this special Novena.
As you send your prayer intentions, please include a donation to help support our Passionist community life and our outreach to families through our various ministries. We seek to share the experience of God’s love for us all, especially those most in need of God’s Love.
Let us pray in thanksgiving for all fathers. We Passionists and those we serve are always grateful for your support and encouragement. Let us continue to remember each other in daily prayer.
