Reflection
Today’s Gospel of Matthew 8:23-27 is short and simple. Jesus is asleep in the boat when storms begin to swamp the vessel. Being awakened by the apostles, they implore Him to save them, claiming they are perishing. Jesus says, why are you terrified, O you of little faith and then calms the winds and sea.

They were amazed, saying what sort of man is this who winds and sea obey?
As apostles of Jesus, do we have little faith because we call on Him only in times of crisis? Do we fail to recognize that He is with us and on our journey at every moment? He wants to be with us and is never far away. Acknowledge His presence in all aspects of our lives to help grow our awareness and actions of being Christ to others.
