Dear Lord, let me always seek your counsel as I embark on important decision making. Sometimes in the noise of my mind, I find it difficult to hear your voice clearly. It seems that I often don’t even feel like I know my own mind—changing directions and questioning my judgment, or even worse, jumping forward without thinking. I know this is because I am trying to do it on my own. Help me, in quiet reflection, to be receptive to your guidance. Let me always take the path that leads to you.
