Prayer for Priesthood Sunday

Loving God, we give thanks for the priests who walk with your people through moments of joy, sorrow and uncertainty.

Renew them in faith, strengthen them in times of weariness and fill their ministry with compassion and hope. Help them listen with open hearts, serve with humility and keep alive the love revealed in the Passion of Jesus.

May they know the prayer, friendship and encouragement of the communities they serve.
