Simplicity in Suffering

Dear Lord, sometimes I think I dwell on painful thoughts too much. Instead of looking to you for answers, I wrestle with memories and regrets. I try to analyze the suffering, not only in my own life, but in the world. And sometimes it is necessary to consider such notions thoughtfully. But help me to learn when to turn my attention to simpler things. Teach me to trust more fully in you and your divine wisdom. Help me to abandon myself to you completely. Help free me from this unnecessary burden. Show me the way, Lord. Show me the way.
