Prayer Beyond Appearances

Lord, oftentimes I think I worry too much about appearances. Let me always put my focus on the meaning of my prayer and not the show. Let me express my reverence for you not just in the posture of my body, but in the sentiment of my words and deeds. Let me not be distracted by form and ritual. Teach me to listen for the Spirit through all the noise of daily life. Let me forget everything but you and your love for me.
