Contentment in God’s Will

Lord, sometimes I feel such discontentment with my life. I let superficial and fleeting things interfere with my interior peace. Please forgive me for letting imperfections in my life distract me from following you. Know that I am grateful for all that you have given me. Help me to meet loss and disappointment in my life with acceptance and understanding instead of resentment. Help me to keep my focus on the many blessings in my life. Guide me each day that I may grow ever closer to you.
