Gratitude for God’s Humble Love

Lord, I have heard the story of your humble birth so many times that I fail to really meditate on its significance. You came into the world without even a crib to sleep in. Yet, I have become so spoiled, so selfish, that even minor inconveniences seem like great difficulties to me. Forgive me for this self-centeredness. Help me to break out of this way of thinking. Grant me the wisdom to be thankful for my blessings and to always focus on what is truly important—your love and my progress on my path to you.
