Joyful Courage in Trials

Lord, I want to happily accept life’s trials and sufferings. I think of all that you endured during your life on earth so that I might experience salvation. Yet, I am often weak. I feel sorry for myself for even the most minor difficulties in life. Help me to abandon these selfish ways. Remind me that in times of pain, I am closest to you on the Cross. Let the Holy Spirit come upon me and fill me with the strength to see the value in all the challenges that come into my life.
