Love in the Midst of Suffering

Lord, I know that it is human to fear suffering. What I often forget is the tremendous amount of love that you have for me in my most trying times. Let me always seek to find you in the midst of my pain. It is natural to want any earthly troubles to be short-lived, help me to instead focus on trusting and loving you completely. I know that in carrying my own personal cross, I become a partaker in your suffering. Help me to look beyond my earthly sufferings to the joy of the greater promises of our faith.
