Prayer for the Election of a New Pope

Dear Lord,

As the College of Cardinals gathers to discern our next Pope, guide them during this sacred time of discernment and fill them with wisdom, courage and love.

Grant us a shepherd who will carry the Cross with love, lead with humility, and serve with compassion.

May he bring hope to the suffering, speak for the voiceless and reflect the self-giving love of Jesus.

Gathered beneath the Cross and guided by the light of the Resurrection, our hope stands firm, now and forever.
