Bequests

A bequest is one of the simplest ways to make a planned gift. You can include the Passionists in your will or living trust, allowing you to retain full control of your assets during your lifetime while making a powerful impact in the future.

Charitable Gift Annuities

A charitable gift annuity allows you to support the Passionists while receiving guaranteed lifetime income in return. Here’s how it works:

• You make an irrevocable donation of $10,000 or more (cash or appreciated securities).
  
• You and/or your beneficiary receive fixed annual payments for life.
  
• Payments can start immediately (if you’re 65 or older), or be deferred (starting at age 65, with a minimum age of 60 to enroll).
  
• You receive an immediate charitable tax deduction, and if giving appreciated assets, you may reduce capital gains taxes.
  
• After the lifetimes of income recipients, the remaining funds go directly to support Passionist ministries.
  

Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds

Gifts of appreciated stock in support of Holy Cross Province can often present significant tax benefits.

Beneficiary Designations

A simple yet powerful way to make a difference is by naming the Passionists as a beneficiary of:

• Your retirement plan (IRA, 401(k), etc.)
  
• A life insurance policy
  
• Your Donor Advised Fund

These gifts bypass probate and go directly to work supporting our ministries, bringing hope, comfort and Christ’s compassion to those most in need.
