Transformed by Christ’s Passion

Dear God, I know that I cannot fully grasp the depth of your love for me and the greatness of your sacrifice. Help me to understand your Son’s Passion so that I can better understand the purpose of my own suffering. I see Christ crucified in the great amount of suffering in the world, and yet I continue to be overwhelmed by the trials of my own daily life. Forgive me for my failures in bearing such challenges. Please help me to understand that you carry my burdens with me, that I am not alone, and that this life leads to far greater rewards when lived in nearness to you.
