A Prayer for Strength, Peace and Hope Through Cancer

Jesus Crucified, we bring before you all who are facing cancer.
You know suffering from the inside, and are not distant from pain, fear or exhaustion.

Be close to every patient, every family and every caregiver.
Give strength for today, peace for the long nights,
and courage for each appointment, test and treatment.

Bless doctors and nurses with wisdom, patience and compassion.
Bring relief where there is pain and comfort where there is grief.

Teach us to remember your Passion with faith, to trust that love can endure and to believe that hope is still possible, even here.

May our words and actions become signs of your tenderness, so no one carries this cross alone.

Mary, Mother of Sorrows, stand with all who are waiting, worrying and weeping.
Lead us to the heart of Jesus where suffering is held and redeemed.

Bring peace into our worry, our pain, our waiting, and always pour out your mercy, hope and love.
