Remembering the Cross at Christmas

My dear Lord, help me to fully understand the sacrifice you made for me. As Christmas draws near, I know that my focus has been too much on the superficial trappings of the season. Itʼs so easy to get caught up in presents and parties. Let me turn my attention not only to the celebration of your birth, but to the constant memory of your Passion and death. In remembering what you gave for my salvation, may I grow closer to you in love.
