The Passionists came down the Ohio River to Louisville in 1879, settling in an old pre-Civil War plantation house.
In 1882, the Passionists, with guidance from Bishop William George McClockey of Louisville, established St. Agnes Church.
The present St. Agnes Church was built in 1927 and Fr. Bruno D’Souza, CP, is the current pastor.
