Welcome home.
St. Paul of the Cross gathered companions to live together and to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to all.
We, The Passionists of Holy Cross Province, are a Catholic religious community of priests, brothers and laity committed to proclaiming the Passion of Jesus Christ as a message of hope, love and reconciliation for the world.

Together in mission,
grounded in compassion
“The Passion of Christ is the greatest and most stupendous work of Divine Love. The greatest and most overwhelming work of God’s love.”
St. Paul of the Cross
As part of the Passionist congregation founded by St. Paul of the Cross in the 18th century, Holy Cross Province has carried his mission forward since 1906.
Rooted in contemplative prayer and empowered by community life, our ministries stretch across the United States and into missions abroad. We serve in a wide variety of ministries that bring Christ’s compassion to the most vulnerable and marginalized.

Come and share a way of life centered in the Passion of Jesus and the love it reveals.
Companions on the Journey
in faith & solidarity
The Passionists are all about sharing God’s love in real and meaningful ways. From retreats and parish life to outreach and service, we joyfully walk alongside others, bringing hope, faith and compassion wherever it’s needed most.
Come discover the many ways we serve and celebrate together.

Retreat Ministry
Our retreat centers are places of warmth and welcome, where you’ll find open doors, listening hearts and a peaceful space to rest.
Come away with us to reflect, be renewed and deepen your walk with God.

Preaching
Since our founding, we have joyfully preached wherever we are invited. Our mission preaching speaks to today’s culture with honesty, relevance and heart. Through storytelling, Scripture and even a little humor, Passionist preachers help people reflect on life’s challenges and discover the grounding presence of God.

Justice
We are committed to remembering Jesus’s Passion by entering into solidarity with the crucified of today: the Earth and those who are marginalized, minimized and minoritized by our social, political and economic systems. Learn more about our commitments to:

Our Communities
We are committed to building community by coming together regularly as a Passionist Family. Our retreat houses, parishes and ministries are all based on a profound sense of hospitality and a welcoming spirit to all those who join us.
