Embracing God-given Penances

Lord, I try to perform meaningful penances in my life for my failings and shortcomings. I offer up these acts to you with great love and humility. Sometimes I forget that in your divine wisdom, you bring penances into my life when you know the time is right. Let me always trust in the greater purpose of these trials. I know that I don’t always understand your plan, but help me to follow your call even when it leads down a challenging path.
